I am trying to plan a multi-generation trip to WDW. Can you give me any tips or tricks?

  • Hi Kathleen,

My philosophy is the more the merrier! This theory is especially true for me when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Multi-generational visits to Walt Disney World hold their own special magic and with a few tips from our Disney Parks Moms Panel you will be on your way to making unforgettable memories!

My first tip is to plan one meal per day in which everyone can participate. My favorite time for this is either lunch or dinner since not everybody rises at the same time for breakfast. By scheduling a meal together, your group will have a definite time to reunite each day and you will look forward to sharing your day's magical memories with each other. I prefer Table-Service dining for this, but Quick-Service locations can be just as effective especially if you are on a budget. Advanced Dining Reservations for Table-Service meals may be made beginning 180 days prior to your Disney Resort check-in for the entire duration of your trip up to 10 days. For large groups the best way to make Dining Reservations is by calling the phone number listed in the previous link.

My final tip is to consider purchasing one Memory Maker for your group and assign one person to be the Memory Maker entitlement holder. Everyone in your travel party may take photos with Disney PhotoPass photography and as long as everyone is linked and have set photo-sharing permissions then the entitlement holder may download all of your photos. Memory Maker is an especially great value when your travel party is large because it allows unlimited photos to be downloaded.

    Have a Disney Day!

    Brenda
