Hi! Trying to plan my FP+ for a day at AK. Do you know how long the shows run? (Lion King, Nemo, Bugs Life) and do you recommend trying to do both the train your and safari? How long do those run? Trying to fit it all in with a lunch reservation at Tusker

    Hi, Gina!

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There is so much to do in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you are wise to plan your day to maximize the fun!

You can find the duration of shows at this park by heading to the page listed above and clicking on "Entertainment". Next, click on the show and you'll see "Duration" in the box to the right of the photo. Festival of the Lion King runs 30 minutes and Finding Nemo-The Musical runs 40 minutes. It's Tough to be a Bug! is a 3D film that runs about 8 minutes.

We begin our day at AK with a FastPass+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris, which runs about 20 minutes once you board your vehicle. The savanna is at its liveliest during cooler hours, so an early morning or early evening safari are best. If you can get to Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo pre-lunch, you'll have a more leisurely afternoon. Dine at Tusker House, then visit your other FP+ selections, a second show, and It's Tough to be a Bug! When you see about an open hour in your schedule, head to Wildlife Express Train for a visit to Rafiki's Planet Watch. The train ride is about 7 minutes, and you can tour as much of Rafiki's Planet Watch as your time will allow before heading back for extra AK fun!

Send more questions as you think of them, Gina; we love to help!
