Trying to plan our first trip to Disney World for the summer of 2015. 9, 5, & 3 yr old boys, and my wife and I. Interested in learning what resorts are best to stay at that are convenient, and have activities for boys. Appreciate any guidance-

I'm so excited that you are planning your first trip to Walt Disney World; as a mother to 3 sons, I hope I can share some ideas for the Disney Resorts my sons have liked the most and the reasons why to help you with your decision:
    • Disney's Contemporary Resort with the monorail running through the inside of the resort to this day still captures my sons's attention. It is also a short walk to the Magic Kingdom.
    • Disney's Wilderness Lodge has a rustic, almost masculine feel about it. You won't feel like you are in Florida. My sons enjoyed the Hidden Mickey challenge and examining all the animal tracks in the sidewalks around the pool. And with the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort just a boat ride away, your sons can try things like archery and pony rides. This resort is also a short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom.
    • Disney's Beach and Yacht Club share a seriously amazing sand-bottom pool; it is nearly a water park in and of itself. With the Boardwalk within walking distance for night time activities and right next to Epcot, it can be lots of fun.
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge provides guests with the unique experience of having animals right outside your room (with savannah view rooms). It also has a Hidden Mickey challenge and is located next to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
    • Disney's Caribbean Resort has pirate-themed rooms where your sons could sleep in pirate ships.
    • Disney's Art of Animation makes you feel as if you are part of classic Disney movies.
    • Disney's All-Star Resorts have theming around sports, music, and Disney movies.

Alll of these resorts have a variety of daily activities for all children, so I think you'll be happy at any of them.  After exploring them to see which best fits yours needs and budget, please let us know if you have more specific questions.
