Hi Moms, We are trying to plan our first cruise ever and we are struggling with choosing a room. We want a room with the large porthole, but there are not any available midship. How do we decide which is better for our family, Aft or Forward?

    Ahoy, Tracey!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Booking a Disney Cruise is going to make your very first voyage at sea magical and unforgettable! Disney Cruise Line was my first cruise, too! You're going to be in awe of how beautiful and BIG the ship is. From the moment you walk onto the ship, it'll feel like you're on a floating city filled with pixie dust!

Selecting a stateroom is one of my favorite parts of the booking process. I love looking at Disney Cruise Line's virtual deck plan to choose the exact location of my future home away from home! In my opinion, take a look at where the Youth Clubs, restaurants, elevators and theaters are located to see if either Aft or Forward would be more convenient for you and your family. For example, if you love to work out, you might enjoy a stateroom near the Fitness Center. With that being said, no matter where your stateroom is on the ship, you'll only be a short walk away from all the action! Also, if you're concerned about the motion of the ocean with your stateroom location not being Midship, I can share that the majority of three, four and seven night itineraries I've sailed on have not been through rough waters. Plus, my family finds that we spend most of our time out of our stateroom and doing tons of activities on and around the ship!

Tracey, I'm so excited about your upcoming voyage with Captain Mickey and his friends! No matter which one of the Disney Cruise ships you choose, you're going to have an unforgettable time! Please sail back and visit us again with any other questions!
