Trying to plan a family vacation June or July 2016 to Disney World and Disney Cruise (3 Day). Any recommend on when to go June or July 2016? Second, Will you do a cruise first and then Disney World or vs versa? Thanks

    Welcome Aboard, Jack!

What an exciting trip you are planning for summer of 2016! I have taken two "land and sea" vacations, and I have a few recommendations for you.

First of all, DEFINITELY go to Walt Disney World first! That part of the vacation involves a lot of walking around the parks and strategic planning of FastPass+ and Dining Reservations. Once you have been through the hustle and bustle of that aspect of your trip, you will appreciate the relaxation on the Disney Cruise Line ship even more.

I would recommend that you look into trying a 4-Night cruise on the Disney Dream as your first cruise. A 3-Night cruise is very short, and I feel that families need that extra day at sea to really know what cruising is all about. Even a 4-Night cruise will "sail" by so fast! As far as when to cruise, June and July are very similar. The weather will most likely be the same, so choose what is best for your family. My family has cruised in June and August, and this summer we are trying July.

I hope this helps with planning your amazing land and sea vacation for next year! Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions before your trip.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
