We are trying to plan our Disney trip and can't decide which 3 parks to see. What is your recommendation as we move forward. We have 3 adults and a 12 and 9 year old in our party. We will be staying on site.

    Hi Robin,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with your family. Since my girls are 11-years old, I believe I can provide some perspective!

Although all four theme parks provide a variety of experiences that your family would enjoy, I recommend that you visit Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme parks. Given the ages of your kids, I think they will love the attractions at each of these theme parks. Here are our must-do rides at each park:

    • Magic Kingdom - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Tomorrowland Speedway
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith, and Toy Story Mania!
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom - Avatar Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and The Lion King Show

Our girls also sprint to join the Jedi recruits at Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. They are convinced that they can defeat Darth Vader. To train, you must take your children to the training sign-up location as soon as Disney's Hollywood Studios opens. Training is competitive. Only the young ones with the strongest power to use the Force are accepted.

Robin, be sure you make Fast Pass+ and dining reservations. May the Force be with you!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
