Trying to plan attractions and shows for our trip in Septmeber. My kids will be just 5 and 3 1/2. Any advice for what to fast pass? Also, wondering how people plan timing of buses and Disney transportation to get to parks and dinner reservations on time?

    Hi Darcy,

I am glad that you are thinking about using Disney FastPass+ selections for your trip. This will allow you to experience some attractions with shortened wait times. I will suggest at few attractions at each theme park that I think will be good for you to use your Disney FastPass+ selections on, considering the ages of your children. I am including height requirements in parentheses after the attraction if this applies. At Magic Kingdom, consider Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (38"), Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Enchanted Tales with Belle. At Epcot, consider Soarin' (40"), Spaceship Earth, and Journey into Imagination with Figment. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, I suggest Toy Story Midway Mania!, For the First Time in Forever: A "Frozen" Sing-Along Celebration, and Disney Junior - Live on Stage!. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, consider Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids (38"), and TriceraTop Spin. In addition, if you are interested in meeting characters, I suggest using Disney FastPass+ selections for character meetings as those are very popular.

I try to leave myself plenty of time to get from one destination to the next when using Disney transportation. If I cut timing too close, I get stressed out, and no one wants to be stressed out on vacation! How long to allow for travel time depends on where you are traveling to and from. From resorts that are very close to a theme park and have a boat ride, you may only need 30 minutes. For bus rides from resorts that are more removed, you may need to leave closer to an hour. You will also then need to calculate in the time that it will take to walk to your destination within the theme park or resort that you are heading to. I suggest that you ask a cast member about your specific destinations when you are at Walt Disney World.

Have a great time planning your magical vacation, Darcy!
