We are trying to go to Disney World November 2018! I know free dining isn't out yet but my question is how much do you save having it? We were gonna skip the dining plan altogether this time to save money. Do you pay more for the room with free dining?

Hey there, Tisha! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hooray for early planning for a magical adventure to the Walt Disney World Resort in 2018! I’m all about budget planning and being able to stretch those Disney dollars to the max. My planning always begins with a visit to the Special Offers page to see what magical offers are available that might fit my needs and budget. Once I lock in a great deal, I start to dream up my visit to the place where the magic is endless!

Tisha, the free dining offer is definitely a guest favorite. I mean, what’s not to like about free Disney food, right? But it all boils down to crunching numbers for your desired stay. Usually, with the free dining offer, you will pay rack rate for your resort hotel in addition to a specific ticket type that is required to qualify for the offer. Depending on where you are hoping to stay, sometimes a room discount is a better value.

I would recommend pricing out your dream vacation and continuing to browse the special offers page, so you can compare what is available. You can also book early and once the deals are released you can always call in to apply any available offers that apply to your dates.

Best of luck as you plan and browse for those magical special offers. I hope you find some pixie dust so you can book your dream vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. That's the power of magic!

Be sure to come back and see us again soon for any additional planning help, tips, or questions about your upcoming vacation.

    See ya real soon,
