I am trying to give permission to my daughter who is under 18 the ability to make dinner reservations. How do I do this?

Hi, Laurie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I am happy to hEAR you are setting up your dining reservations for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There are so many delicious places to dine ... don't believe me? Ask the dishes! Some of the dining locations are quite popular, so guests are highly encouraged to secure their spot in advance. While I have occasionally had success checking at the restaurant right as they begin either lunch or dinner service (so, around 11:00 a.m. or 4:30 p.m.), walk-ins cannot be accommodated in some instances or if they can, you may have a long wait. I always recommend to my friends that they make dining reservations as soon as possible for the most magical experience!

At this time, guests must be age 18 or over to make dining reservations. If you wish for your minor-aged child to assist you with the reservations, then you may call (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463 and give the Cast Member permission to discuss the dining reservation with your child. Still, a credit card will need to be used to guarantee the reservation. A charge will not be put on the card, unless it is a dining location that does require prepayment or if you do not cancel the reservation within the allotted time period as per the restaurant's cancellation policy.

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question and I hope you have many magical adventures at Walt Disney World Resort!
