We're trying to figure out if the dining plan with table service makes financial sense for us. My party includes 2 adults, 1 15 yo and an 8yo. Is there an easy way to compare the 2. What is your advice?

    Hi Barbara,

Here are the current rates for the 2010 Dining Plan:

The Disney Quick Service Dining Plan which includes 2 Quick Service and 2 Snacks per person is priced at $31.99/adults; $9.99/child ages 3-9.

The Plus (Basic) Dining Plan which includes 1 Table Service, 1 Quick Service and 1 Snack per person is priced at $41.99/adults; $11.99/child ages 3-9 (regular season ) and $46.99/adults; $12.99/child 3-9 (peak season).

The 2010 Peak Season dates are: February 12 to April 10, June 4 to August 14 and December 17 to 31.

The Deluxe Dining Plan which includes 3 Table Service meals per person is priced at $71.99/adults, $20.99/child 3-9

If you are deciding between the Plus (Basic) Dining and the Deluxe Dining, here is how I would choose. If you think you'll really want to sit down and eat 3 meals a day...then go with the Deluxe plan. We have 7 people in our family. Two adults and 5 kids: 17, 14, 9, 7 & 5. We've always gotten the Basic plan. Here's why: Disney table service meals offer a LOT of food. Even their quick service has large serving sizes. I always end up sharing mine with the kids. We LOVE taking the opportunity to sit down together once a day and enjoy a table service meal. Disney Dining is truly one of the highlights of our vacations. However, we often use our snack credits for a muffin in the morning, grab a quick service lunch and eat our big meal at night. I don't know that we'd like to take that much time out of our days to sit and eat. That's our family though, you may very well want to take that many breaks. If so, the Deluxe Dining Plan may be for you.

Hope this helps you decide. Please let me know if you have any followup questions.

    Enjoy your vacation!
