I am trying to decide whether to do cafe mickeys the morning we leave, our flight is at 1:10. Or the day we go into EPCOT. What is your recommendation? What time would you say we need a reservation if we do it the day we leave?

    Hey there, Jenny!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love deciding which restaurants my family will enjoy during our stay at the Walt Disney World Resort, and Chef Mickey's is one of our favorites. We've experienced breakfast there both before heading to the parks and on our departure day. My personal preference is to have one last dose of Disney magic with some of our favorite pals before we head home. Departure day is never easy so this is something to look forward to and be able to talk about for the rest of the day. We always take lots of great photos at Chef Mickey's so it's fun to have these as reminders of our last vacation experience.

In the past, my family has been able to eat at Chef Mickey's and meet all the Characters in about an hour since it's an all-you-care-to-eat buffet. If you are staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, I recommend a time around 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. so you can stop by your resort room after you eat to grab your things before your 10:10 a.m. Disney's Magical Express motor coach arrives. If you are not staying at the resort, you'll want to plan travel time to and from the resort so an earlier reservation around 7:45 to 8:00 a.m is probably your best bet. (Chef Mickey's is open for breakfast from 7:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.) The new Minnie Vehicle Service just announced this past weekend may be a great option to get from your resort to Disney's Contemporary Resort the morning of your reservation. I can't wait to tool around the Walt Disney World Resort in a red polka dot SUV on my next stay!

I hope this helps with your plans, Jenny! Enjoy dining with Mickey and the gang!
