Trying to decide. Please rate and compare for crowds and weather. 1 Week leading up to Christmas 2 February break 3 April break 4 August. Thanks!!

    Hi Alyssa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The order, in which you listed the comparisons for crowds and the weather, is in exactly the order that I would put them. The week before Christmas is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The Parks are decked out in their Holiday finest, and there are some fantastic seasonal events that take place during this time of year. Crowds the week before Christmas are not too bad, however, once the kids get out of school for the break, the crowds steadily increase. Christmas week is always extremely busy. The weather during the day is mild, but it can get quite chilly in the evenings. Pack a jacket and a pair of long pants, and you should be fine.

The February break is a more expensive time of year to visit for us New Yorkers. Airfare leaving New York area airports is typically higher. Crowds are lighter at the beginning of the break but get heavier toward the end due to runDisney race events being held during that period. The weather is great during the day but, again, can get chilly in the evenings.

April weather is wonderful, but the crowds are not. It's typically one of the busiest months of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort. Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing by then, and it greatly increases the number of Park Guests. During the first few weeks of August, crowd levels are high, and the temperature will be even higher. You'll need lots of water and a lot of air-conditioned breaks from the heat. During the last week of August, crowds are lower due to the start of the school year.

All that said, no matter what time of year you choose to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, it will always be magical!

    Happy planning,
