We are trying to decide which one would be better to stay at, the Wilderness Lodge or the Polynesian. We have two boys under 10. Thanks!

You can't go wrong with either choice. I'll give you some impressions to see if that helps you decide.

    - Transportation: The Polynesian is on the monorail line with easy access to the Magic Kingdom. The Wilderness Lodge is also quite near the MK, reachable via a boat ride. I enjoy the boat, but monorail access alone makes many people choose the Poly.
    - Theme: For me, the WL is the hands-down winner. The lobby and grounds are a magnificent recreation of the great Northwest. The massive stone fireplace is incredible. A faux geyser periodically erupts by the pool. The Polynesian themeing includes lush tropical plantings. But the WL is much more my taste.
    - Dining: The Poly has one table service restaurant, Ohana, serving breakfast and dinner. There are characters at breakfast (Lilo and Stitch). Breakfast is family style with classic American food with a Polynesian twist. The dinner buffet has grilled meats and fish. The WL has two table service restaurants: Artist Point and Whispering Canyon. These are both on my list of top ten all-time-favorite restaurants. Artist Point is gourmet food (the specialty is cedar plank salmon) and an exquisite setting that is elegant without being stuffy. We've taken the kids there several times. They have been happy and I have been in heaven. The Whispering Canyon is a hootin' hollerin' place with indoor pony races, big skillets of food, and lots of laughs. Fun there for the whole family.
    - Recreation: There are great pools and other recreation such as boat rentals at both resorts. The Wilderness Lodge also has a path to Fort Wilderness (just under a mile away). Our family has walked and ridden bikes there many times. The path is beautiful and we have even seen families of live deer there. This is a good place for active kids to run off some steam.

There are pros and cons to each. I happen to LOVE the Wilderness Lodge, but there are plenty of Polynesian devotees as well.
