I am trying to decide to do lagoon view or lagoon/Park view at the Polynesian. they are in the same 3 building Tuvalu,Aoteroa and the Tahiti. What is the difference? What floor you are on? Also can I pick the one I want? Does it cost more to do that?

    Aloha Michael,

First, there is a difference in the views.  The lagoon view rooms will be facing the Seven Seas Lagoon, but the views of the Magic Kingdom may be obstructed.  The theme park view rooms have unobstructed views of the castle. You would need to make your reservation to reflect your choice of view since the price differs with each view.

To help you really see the difference between the three buildings (longhouses), I'd visit www.tikimanpages.com; it is a comprehensive website on everything and anything you'd like to know about the Polynesian resort, including detailed photos showing the differences in the buildings and their views.  It helps tremendously to actually see what you are making a reservation for.  And when you make your reservation, you can include a notation about the building you'd like to be in, but there are no guarantees.

Happy trip planning; thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!
