Trying to decide between dinner in France or Canada. Husbands a chef so would like a few nice meals. Also trying for California Grill. Any suggestions? Thanks for all of your help!

Hi Michele!  Dining decisions are often the hardest when planning your Disney vacation trip.

France and Canada are both popular locations at EPCOT and it would really depend on your culinary taste as to which you might enjoy more. Canada is quite small and they book up quickly so be sure and get that reservation on your 90 days out time if you are going in the next few months.

Knowing that your husband is a chef I tried to think of locations where he might be able to interact with the Disney chefs and staff. Although it is not a true Disney restaurant he might enjoy the cooking on the table at Teppan Edo in Japan.  Beyond EPCOT the California Grill is an open air kitchen where he can observe and you might even nab a counter seat that truly gives you a front row to the action.  Another great open air kitchen is at Citricos and this is one of my Disney favorites. It is located at the Grand Floridian resort and there is ample room for him to watch and discuss the meals with those working. The Flying Fish is a spot at the Boardwalk resort that also fits this theme. I suggest you make some early dining times at these locations when the chefs are not as busy as they would be later in the evening.

The ultimate dining spot for close observation and interaction with the chefs is the Chefs Table at Victoria and Alberts located at the Grand Floridian resort.  This is a private five star dining experience in the actual kitchen of this restaraunt.  The service is just as special as the main dining room and all the chefs will come and discuss what is being prepared for the meals and answer any questions you might have.  This is an expensive meal but one that is worth the added cost once in your life if you have any interest in the culinary field.
