trying to book a trip to Disney in FL. I have a family of six four children girl(15),boy(14),boy(10),boy(5). im thinking about booking DEC 11-dec 17 any ideas were to stay and what dining plan.

    Kevin:

If you hurry, you can take advantage of the free Disney Dining Plan that's being offered for the dates of your stay!

Your family are all the same ages and genders as mine, so I'm pretty well-versed on your options....
    • The least-expensive way to stay at Disney is to get two rooms at a Value Resort. For about $30 more a night, you can get a family suite at the All-Star Music Resort.
    • Our family's favorite resort is Fort Wilderness. Their cabins allow us plenty of room for the kids to enjoy the outdoors when it's so mild in winter. Best of all, campers decorate their cabins and campsites for the holidays for a home-spun atmosphere.
    • A Deluxe room at Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk Inn sleeps 6.  It's a little more expensive, but our children love both resorts.  In fact, they labeled our stay last year at the Boardwalk as their all-time favorite vacation.
    • two-bedroom Deluxe villa would be your fourth option.  I'd give my right arm to stay at the new Bay Lake Towers overlooking the lake.  Animal Kingdom would be a memorable choice with its view of the savannah. Take some time and see if you like the theme of one versus another.

If you need more help on restaurants or narrowing your resort choices, feel free to come back!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
