Hi Mom's! Been trying to book T-rex for dinner Mar/28/14 for a couple months. Always says the only available time is 10pm. Is that true, or are contracts just not finalized yet? Thanks!!

    Hi, Lisa!

T-REX is such a fantastic restaurant, no wonder you've been trying to book reservations for a couple of months!

To be honest, I have had some really great luck when dealing with an odd inability to secure a Downtown Disney restaurant by calling the restaurant itself, instead of booking through Disney Dining. One hostess once explained that Disney Dining has a portion of daily reservations set aside for Guests on the Dining Plan, but that some restaurants, such as those at Downtown Disney, have tables available that are not set aside for Dining Plan Guests. That doesn't mean that Disney Dining Plan Guests can't access those other reservations, though. As such, it's sometimes possible to call the Downtown Disney (or other area) Restaurant directly to reserve a reservation that is not currently available via Disney Dining.

I called T-REX on your behalf and found out that, except for 5:00, the rest of the evening is "pretty wide open". As such, call T-REX at (407) 828-8739 to book your dinner reservation now; there are many still available! Once you get to the restaurant, you'll be using your Disney Dining Plan Table Service Entitlement to pay for your meal, so tell your server that you are on the Dining Plan at that time.

    Hope this helps, Lisa!
