Trying to book a 1 bedroom at the BCR / YCR, or similar. I was told that these rooms are held for vacation club members. How far in advance are they released to the public? Other suggestions for 1 bedrooms / more space for kids?

    Hi Claire,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

At the Disney Vacation Club Resorts, many of the villas will be booked by Disney Vacation Club members using their vacation points; however, there are some villas that are available for booking using traditional payment methods such as credit cards or cash. Even if you cannot secure the exact accommodation you are looking for now, I do suggest that you keep calling back to find out if more villas at the resort you want have been made available for traditional payment method booking. Call 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) when you are ready to book.

You are looking for a one-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and I can certainly understand why. It is a beautiful resort with great proximity to Epcot. Overall, Disney's Beach Club Villas is a smaller resort, which might be why you are having trouble securing accommodations there. I would suggest also trying Disney's BoardWalk Villas. This resort is right across Crescent Lake from Disney's Beach Club Villas, and offers so much fun in the way of entertainment and theme. Another favorite of mine for a Disney Vacation Club resort is Disney's Old Key West Resort. It will take you out of the Crescent Lake area, but I love it for its relaxed vibe and large villas.

There are a couple of non-Disney Vacation Club Resort options for you if you are looking for more space and bedrooms. Disney's Art of Animation Resort opened recently and includes fun family suites separate living and sleeping spaces, as well as two bathrooms. My family also enjoys a stay at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Here, each cabin stands alone and includes a separate living and sleeping area, as well as a full kitchen.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Claire! Have a great time planning your trip, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
