So if we want to try tent camping at Disney, but don't have a tent. Will Disney rent or provide tents and the Wilderness Campsites?

Hi Jennifer! Camping at The Fort Wilderness Campsites is a great experience for novices and pros alike. The facilities are going to be some of the best in the country and knowing you are just minutes from all the fun of the parks makes it even better.

Tent camping is fun but it does take special organization as what you need to bring on a vacation of this type is definitely different. To start with you will need tents and if you don't have them you do have the opportunity to rent them through Disney. This has been on a first come basis in the past with group campers getting first options. But there has been such a big demand for them that they have not offered them to other guests. Please call and let them know you will need a tent as you don't want to be surprised to find them all gone when you check in. Cots are also available to rent.

Supplies that you will want to consider will be coolers, screen tent for dining, bedding, lanterns or flashlights, and if camping during the warm weather you will want a fan. Each site will have water and electricity as well as a grill and picnic table. Simple grocery and camping items are available at the Trading Post stores too.

Enjoy your camping experience and enjoy being in the great outdoors of the Fort Wilderness Resort.
