Is it true that choosing to go left or right when walking and choosing lines makes a difference? If so, which way is best?

I read this information years ago and I don't know how valid it is but it always seems to work for us!

    Go left.

We even use this strategy here at home when visiting museums, a local amusement park, and other places.

We've put it in to practice at Walt Disney World too. When heading to a quick service meal counter to place our order, the left line is usually open while many people are in line to the right of the cashier. At buffet meals, including the breakfast at Tusker House, I have seen guests herding themselves to the buffet line on the right while the one on the left remains empty. In fact on my June visit to WDW, many guests looked at me as if I was cutting in to the  Donald's Safari breakfast line. When I kindly pointed out that there were in fact two buffet lines, some guests were amazed that they had been standing there waiting without noticing this detail.

When entering a long queue line such as the Kilimanjaro safari, I've often found that we by-pass waiting guests just by entering the line on the left.

Some researchers will probably insist that it doesn't work. But we've been putting this simple strategy to the test for years. And going left almost always saves us time!

Just keep your eyes open for the "go left" opportunities!
