Hi! After 5 trips to WDW, we're off to DL July 26-30. Other than at rope drop, is there another good time to visit Pixie Hollow when the lines aren't so long (waited 2 hours last year at MK)? Any other tips -have 4,8,13y/o & 11 celebrating birthday on

    Hi, Julia!

I’m glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort! Be sure to see "Mickey and the Magical Map," an all-new live show, and Fantasy Faire, a whimsical storybook village adjacent to Sleeping Beauty Castle!

A visit to Pixie Hollow to meet Tinker Belle and her fairy friends is a great idea. Once you arrive in this enchanted forest in Fantasyland, you'll be magically transformed down to fairy size to greet friends such as Tinker Bell, Vidia, Terence, Fawn, Rosetta, Silvermist, Iridessa and Periwinkle. Pixie Hollow can have substantial wait times, and the queue usually lasts throughout the day until it closes in the mid-afternoon. The best time to visit really is immediately after the park opens. However, there is a sign informing Guests of the estimated wait time, and in my experience, it's often not longer than 30-45 minutes.

I suggest checking out Disneyland.com in advance so the kids can create wish lists, including their “must-dos.” You may find there’s more overlap in their interests than you anticipated, and it’s a great way to get a jump on the excitement! Most importantly, having a plan makes for smoother days in the parks.

Stop by City Hall on your way into Disneyland Park to pick up a complimentary celebration button for your birthday girl or boy. If you have any table-service meals planned, a special treat is to order one of the Disneyland Resort’s personal-size party cakes. You have a choice of two themes—a Disney Princess Jewelry Box or Disney Pirate Treasure Chest that comes filled with cake, along with a lit candle and special surprise. They are $15 each and can be ordered in advance by calling (714) 781-DINE (3463) or in person during your meal.

Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation, Julia!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
