Hi, our 1st trip to WDW with 4 yr. old son, I am looking at the value resorts, Which do you recommend? And is it really worth staying at one of those or a local hotel? Staying a short & a short budget, but want it to be memorable.

I believe you will find the Value resorts to be very comfortable.   My family and I have stayed at a few different ones.   Of these, our favorite choice is All Star Movies.    its got a really nice theme to it and a fun pool area.   While the choice of staying on-site at a Disney resort versus staying offsite is always a personal choice, I would suggest staying at one of the Disney value resorts if possible.    First, if you want to make it memorable, staying at a Disney property will help assure you have a pleasant room and stay.   From a cost perspective, if you stay offsite the cost of transportation and parking also need to be factored in.    As a Disney resort guest, you also can take advantage of the complimentary airport transportation if needed and can utilize the extended Extra Magic Hours available during your stay.   Hope this helps make your decision process easier!
