1st trip to WDW w/4, 7, and 10 year olds girls, plus husband. Daughter turns 10 nine days before we arrive. We have 5 character meals booked and trying to decide if dining plan worth it. If paying out of pocket would she still be considered adult.

    Hi Caroline!

How exciting that you are visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) with your family! I love the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). The DDP saves time and money because you can book all of your Advanced Dining Reservations in Advance and know that the money and planning is all taken care of when you arrive.

WDW considers guests ages 10 and up as an adult. Therefore, if you order a meal at a Table Service restaurant, paying out of pocket or using the DDP, your 10-year old daughter would be considered an adult. If you have five character meals, booked, I definitely feel like the DDP would be a great plan for you!

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
