    Patrick Asked

1st trip to WDW. We want a great view of ELParade without arriving 1 hour early. Our plan is to have dinner on the patio at Tony's. Is this the best plan? Also, are requests for patio seating honored? Would there be a clear view of parade from patio? Thx.

    Hi there, Patrick!

The parade certainly does pass in front of the porch at Tony's Town Square, and the food is a terrific option.

You need to be aware that your view will likely be an obscured one, largely because of the parade-watchers who have stationed themselves all along the sidewalks of Main Street, USA. While you'll be able to see the tops of the floats, to be certain, depending upon the number of "rows" of parade watchers, your smaller companions might have trouble seeing much more than that.

Cast Members will do their best to honor special seating requests. You might ave to wait to sit on the porch, though, so consider making your reservations a bit early to build int hat potential waiting time.

The Disney Food Blog - an well-respected fan favorite - ran a review of Tony's, including pictures from the Mickey's Boo-To-You! Halloween parade, which follows the same route as the Main Street Electrical. You can get a sense of the view here: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2010/03/22/tonys-town-square/.

Check out the Food Blog's article on parade viewing eateries; it might bring up even more ideas for you:  http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2010/04/19/best-restaurants-for-magic-kingdom-parade-viewing/

    Have a wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
