Mom And Daughter Resort Room

Hi Moms! Our trip is split between two resorts. Do I need to get the magic bands from both to access each hotel room or will the entire trip be on both sets so I can decline one of them?

    Hi Andrea,

Staying at two Walt Disney World Resorts is fun! When my family has done this, we plan like it is two different vacations. We concentrate on visiting the parks nearest to the resort we are staying at and enjoy the amenities of that specific resort as well.

Currently, the system is designed to provide you two sets of MagicBands - one for each resort. You can use only one for the entire trip. Customize the initial resort's MagicBands and ship them to your house. The second set can be left at the second resort and you deny them. However, you will need the cast members at the second resort to activate room keys, charging privileges and Disney Dining Plans on the original MagicBands. You can set up your tickets and FastPass+ using My Disney Experience on the original MagicBand.

As long as you do not have the Disney Dining Plan, you can have Bell Services from the first resort send your bags to the second Disney Resort while you head into the parks. You can then check-in at the second resort at your convenience. The second resort can even text you when your room is ready.

    Wishing you are magical vacation!
