this is our 5th trip in six years and we love disney. we have 9 year old boy and a 6 year old girl, we are looking for new and out of the ordinary things to do for them. any suggestions?

    Hi Chad,

We visit Walt Disney World often as well, with our daughter who is now eight years old, and we are always finding new things to do! Let me give you information on some of our recent favorites.

How about partaking in some of the water adventures at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre? Located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, this center offers lots of fun recreation. The children might enjoy tubing, or if they are even more adventurous, look into doing a tandem parasailing flight. I did a tandem parasail flight with my daughter recently, and it was amazing for both of us to get a view of the Walt Disney World that we had never had before.

Both of your children may also enjoy being turned into pirates at The Pirates League in Magic Kingdom. My daughter did this recently, and our whole family had a wonderful time watching as she was transformed into an empress. The cast members played the role of pirates hilariously. My daughter put on her pirate bandanna and carried her pirate sword for the rest of the vacation!

Finally, check out the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot. On this hour-long tour, you will get to walk through the greenhouses at Epcot's Land Pavilion and learn about how the plants are grown. When we went, our daughter was given a vial of lady beetles and at the end of the tour, she was allowed to choose a plant on which to release them to help the plant. We were also able to sample the cucumbers grown in the greenhouses. The specific experiences on the tour are subject to change.

Have a wonderful time planning Chad, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
