We have a trip planned to WDW this June and will be on the DDP. Are we able to use our DDP for a character breakfast meal on the day of arrival or do we have to wait to use it until we actually check in to our resort?

    Hi Yvette,

While June may seem far off, it is right around the corner as it is almost April! I love June trips to Walt Disney World when the crowds or the humidity are not at their peak.

In order to activate your Disney Dining Plan, you need to check-in at your Walt Disney World Resort so they can activate your dining. You can do this any time on the day of your arrival. We have arrived as early as 10:00 am and had no issues checking-in. We even had our room ready on a few trips.

Once your Disney Dining Plan is activated, you can begin enjoying your meals including a character breakfast the day you arrive.

If you are traveling by plane, you will want to leave a minimum of three hours between landing, taking Disney's Magical Express and heading to your meal unless the meal is in the same resort. If it is in the same resort, you can reduce the time to two hours.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
