My trip is up on OCT 28, soo excited!! This year my friend is joinin my WDW trip, she is 28 and has already back problems, how can I make her trip fun? what rides does she need to avoid? i love thrill rides but I dunno which rides can she go with me?

My husband also has a bad back, so I know this issue very well. His problem is actually quite serious, and I am happy to report that he is still able to enjoy most rides at Disney with very little problem. Your friend will still be able to have a great vacation!

For him, Space Mountain is the absolute worst, and he cannot ride it at all. It is in the dark so you never know which way you will be turning next, and it's a rather rough ride. He was in excruciating pain after riding it once, and never has again. The other ride that he finds very painful is Primeval Whirl in Animal Kingdom, again, because it is a very rough and jerky ride that jarrs his spine. I would also urge caution on Dinosaur in AK as well.

He IS able to comfortably ride other things that you might not think would work for someone with back problems - Rock N Roller Coaster and Test Track, for example.

And of course, when in doubt, you could always ride solo yourself, and then report back to your friend so she can judge how it might work for her.

Good luck, and have a wonderful trip!
