1st Trip May 1-7 just Mom (for 50th B-Day) and myself 29. We have many ADR with the Deluxe DP. Staying @ Movie Resort. Would it really be worth the price to upgrade to Mod Resort? Flying and using Disney Trans. for all parks/resorts, etc

    Hi Amanda!

It sounds like you have a wonderful birthday trip planned with your mom!  How exciting!  The Deluxe Dining Plan will allow you to experience many of Disney's fantastic restaurants, and include signature dining, special experiences and character meals (if you're in the mood for some light-hearted fun) into your itinerary.  I'm guessing with all the eating and exploring you two will be doing, you won't be spending much time inside your resort room.  Disney's All Star Resort is well-appointed, immaculate and very-well themed.  There is a huge swimming pool where you can relax in between park visits, shopping, dining and any other excursions you have planned.

The moderate resorts offer slightly larger rooms, more elaborate theming, multiple swimming pools and a small refrigerator in your room.  In addition, there are more dining options at moderates, as they have both a food-court and a table-service restaurant.  If you feel these extra amenities are important to you and your mom, the moderate resorts are wonderful.  However, All Star Movies is also a wonderful property to call home during your special trip, and I'm guessing you will be very happy there.

Wherever you chose to stay, I hope your mom has a magical birthday, and that you both enjoy a fabulous time together!
