This will be our 1st trip to Magic Kingdom, the 1st week of May. We are doing a character breakfast. I've heard the parade at 3 is a can't miss!. Is there anything else you can recommend or any tips? Thanks

  • Congratulations on your first visit to the Magic Kingdom! Since my first visit at age three, I have loved the sights, sounds and magic that encompasses the Magic Kingdom.

One of the most amazing parades I have ever seen steps off daily at 3 o'clock. I suggest using a FastPass+ for Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade so that you have a dedicated area with previewed viewing of this parade. This will also help you maximize your day without setting aside a large amount of time to secure a parade viewing spot.

Since this is your first visit to Magic Kingdom, you will want to capture those magical memories by utilizing Disney PhotoPass Service. You will find photographers throughout the park ready to capture photos of your family visiting Characters, the iconic Cinderella Castle or even your family's first trip into the briar patch at Splash Mountain. Be sure to ask PhotoPass photographers if they have a magic shot that they can add to your photo. These magical additions are some of my favorite photos.

Purchase Memory Maker! Memory Maker allows you get all your PhotoPass photos including attraction photos and those taken at Character Dining experiences, without having to purchase each one individually. You will also receive on-ride attraction videos from select attractions. I love that with Memory Maker, there is no limit to the number of times you can download your pictures from your account. A copyright release will also be included in your in package in case you would like to print them outside of your home. For my photo-loving family, Memory Maker is a great value!

I hope your Magic Kingdom visit is filled with loads of pixie dust and magical memories.
