I would like to take a trip for a long weekend. My son will be 2 in October so I'm curious as to which area of the parks are geared towards this age group.

Hello, Tiffany! I think the entire Walt Disney World Resort is fun for children of all ages, but there are some areas that your little one may enjoy more than others. The majority of my daughter's favorite attractions are located in Magic Kingdom Park, and due to the large variety of toddler-friendly rides, character greetings, dining and more, I always suggest that people try to spend at least two full days exploring this theme park.

For your son's age, I'd like to recommend my family's favorite "first" Disney rides: Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station located nearby is a really fun way to cool down in the middle of the day, too.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is also really great for small children, as they can learn all about exotic animals in a fun and safe environment. Stop by Affection Section so that your son can pet a few animals, and make sure to visit The Boneyard to dig for replica dinosaur bones while you take a break from strolling along the animal trails.

My favorite spot for toddlers at Epcot is The Seas With Nemo & Friends. After enjoying a smooth ride through the ocean world of Nemo and his adorable pals, your family can explore the massive saltwater aquarium and the diversity of sea life represented.

Disney Jr. Characters like to hang out at Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can find them at Disney Junior - Live On Stage and the Disney Junior Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood & Vine. If your son needs to let some energy out, stop by the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure. This is an interactive play area that your son can climb and crawl over.

All of the theme parks have fun Disney Character meet 'n' greets and Character Dining experiences, as well. If you'd like additional attraction recommendations or FastPass+ options for each theme park, please don't hesitate to write back in. I hope you have a magical vacation, Tiffany!
