    Megan Asked

Hi Moms! Our trip is in June and I just recently found out that I have Celiac Disease (an allergy to gluten). How hard will it be for me to eat while at Disney? Is there any way to view GF menus before hand? Thanks!!

Megan, gluten free options abound at Walt Disney World. The chefs and food service Cast Members are astonishingly accommodating to guests with food allergies and sensitivities.

Obviously Celiac Disease will limit your diet, but you will find WDW has ample choices for those on a gluten free diet. When making reservations for table service restaurants, indicate your special dietary needs. Tell your server when you arrive your meal must be gluten free. At quick service venues, ask the Cast Member who takes your order what options are gluten free. Often the chef or manager will speak to you personally to make sure your needs are met. Your best bet for finding lists of gluten free choices is to go to a nonDisney site. The Disney Food Blog and AllEars both have informative blogs on eating gluten free at WDW.
