This will be my 9th trip to DW in 12yrs. I had thought about becoming DVC member but love POR & CBR & wonder can you stay in a resort in place of the DVC. I like the resorts cause of the food courts, do not want to cook & clean on vacation.

I'm a Disney Vacation Club member. Most of the time at WDW, I stay in the DVC Villas. The only cooking I do is making coffee in the morning. The only cleaning I do is hanging up the towels. Even though I'm in a villa, I'm still on vacation ;-)

But in answer to your question, yes, you can use DVC points at non-villa Disney hotels in the moderate and deluxe categories. You can use your points to stay in regular hotel rooms. I have done this several times myself. For the specifics of how many points each night would cost, you should speak to the DVC directly.

We've been DVC members since 2001 and feel like it has been a fabulous asset for our family.
