Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!
Although there are many
benefits to being a Guest at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I think one of the best benefits is the ability to book your
FastPass+ experiences up to 60 days in advance of your visit. Additionally, you’re able to schedule those FastPasses for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days) 60 days from your check-in date. If you have two parties linked on the same reservation, that is the only reason I could think your FastPass booking dates would be the same. I would suggest double-checking your reservation dates to make sure they are correct for both parties. Should you need to
change or modify your reservation, you may be able to do that online. Just
log into your My Disney Experience account and click “My Plans.” If you have the option to modify online, you’ll see a blue button that says “Modify.” Otherwise, you’ll need to call (407) 934-7639 to speak with a Cast Member who can assist you.
Once you’ve determined that your check-in dates are correct, you’ll be ready to begin planning your FastPass+ experiences. I would recommend starting with those hard-to-get reservations (like
Slinky Dog Dash at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios or
Avatar Flight of Passage at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park) at the END of your trip and then work your way back to your first day. If you don’t see availability for those coveted attractions, don’t fret! You can continue to
modify or cancel your FastPass+ experiences up to the day of your Theme Park visit. Keep in mind that availability is always subject to change, so it’s always best to try to book those experiences as soon as possible. That said, I have occasionally been able to get a last-minute FastPass for an attraction when someone else has decided to cancel theirs closer to our arrival date.
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with, Melissa! Best of luck in getting all of the FastPass+ experiences you’re hoping for.
