Hello! We have our trip booked for Dec 27 2018- Jan 3 2019. Girls Trip of 6 :) Can you give any tips for going this time of year and with a large group? Just want to know what to expect that time of year. Thanks!

    Hi Aubrey,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Two words - Girls Trip. I sense an amazing adventure in your future! Just brace yourselves for the crowds and PLAN.

First, be sure to check the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort guide to see what the current schedule includes. This schedule will give you a good idea of what will be in store for next year. The Candlelight Processional is one of my favorite activities during the holiday season. The music, the story, the celebrity narrators, all bring the wonder of the season to life.

Second, be sure to make dining reservations 180 days prior to your trip. For dinner, I recommend 'Ohana and the California Grill. If you make a reservation about 30 minutes before the time of the fireworks, you can see the Happily Ever After show while dining.

Third, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, make your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance. I always prioritize the popular attractions first so I make my first Fast Pass+ selections for Avatar Flight of Passage, Test Track or Soarin' and Splash Mountain.

Also, be sure you have created a My Disney Experience Account and have added everyone to your "My Family & Friends List." If you are managing plans for everyone, be sure to also link their theme park tickets and MagicBands to your account. If other folks will have their own My Disney Experience Accounts, just make sure they link their tickets and MagicBands to their accounts and that everyone's My Disney Experience Accounts are linked.

Finally Aubrey, consider purchasing one Memory Maker and sharing it among your group. On our last trip, we came back with over 200 photos and ride videos!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
