Family With Medals

We are travelling to WDW in November with our two children; ages 8 & 5; and our niece, who is 20. Our son has ASD and we know we can get a GAC for him. My niece has ADHD. Would she be able to get a GAC as well?

Hi Rob! Many guests do not understand what a Guest Assistance Card really means when visiting the parks. It is not a "go to the head of the line" pass but instead it is something when shown to a cast member at an attraction they will assist you in waiting in another area that is better suited for those with different types of disabilities. When one member of the family requires a Guest Assistance Card they will write down the number in the party so the cast member will keep the family together. This can be done as long as they number is not above five for the total. You family will be that number so you shouldn't have any issue with having one card for the group. When you check into Guest Services you can mention your niece but it shouldn't be a problem at all to just have one card. If you feel you will be separating most of the time then you will want to have her get her own card.

If you have any questions or concerns the cast at each of the park's Guest Services desks will be glad to help your family. It is their desire to make sure each guest has a magical experience and will do what they can that is fair for all guests to make this happen. Enjoy your trip in November....it is one of my favorite months to visit Disney!
