I am travelling to WDW next week with my 2 year old daughter. I'm looking for non-theme park activities for the days we are not visiting theme parks (we're going for 10 days and will not be in parks every day). We are staying at the Saratoga Springs.

    Hello, Kim!

What a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World awaits you with your little princess!

There are so many non-theme park activities in and around Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa; you're going to love your ten day stay there!

First, some time spent at High Rock Pool will surely be welcome; there's even a smaller slide for the little ones that goes right into the bigger pool.  You can borrow life preservers there, too, if you don't have one of your own. If the little one stays up until dark, there is a kid-friendly Disney film that is shown, poolside, on a large, inflatable screen as well, which you can watch from either in the pool, or from a nearby lounge chair (probably snuggled up in a towel, on Mommy's lap, too!)

Downtown Disney, a dining, shopping and entertainment area, is a very quick bus ride, water launch or stroll away; you'll want to spend much of a day or afternoon / evening there, too.  Some of our favorite Walt Disney World restaurants are located in Downtown Disney, and all of the restaurants are participating in the Disney Dining Plan this year.  The world's largest Disney store, The World of Disney, as well as the Lego Imagination Center and Once Upon a Toy are each shops which specialize in different varieties of toys and other souvenirs just right for the little one. There is also a small carousel and outdoor train, which might be the perfect size for your two-year old.

Also at Downtown Disney, you'll find the AMC Downtown Disney 24 movie theater, which also give you the option of a Dine-In Theater, Fork and Screen.  A matinee or early evening flick might be a great way to also enjoy a good meal while your little one is entertained, too!

I hope that you find this helpful!
