We will be travelling to WDW in March 2010 and are staying at the Pop Century Resort. Can you please tell me the difference between a regular room and a preferred room? The description seems to be the same for both room types, but the cost is different.

    Hi Debra!

This is a great question. I have stayed at the Pop Century Resort two times with my son and we absolutely love it! The only difference between the preferred room and a regular or standard room at Pop Century is location, location, location--just like in real estate! The preferred rooms are closer in proximity to the Food Court, the Main Building, and the Disney Transportation Buses. A standard room can be as far away as a 5-10 min walk from the the Food Court, the Main Building, and the Disney Transportation Buses depending on which Decade your room is in. Everything else about these two room categories are the same including the size, room layout, and amenities.  So the decision to spend the extra money for a preferred room or not is entirely up to you.

I hope you have a very magical vacation in March!
