hi, we are travelling to wdw from australia next year 2010 what month would be the best time with two children aged 9 and 7 looking for low crowds thanks

Hi, Jenni!  How exciting that you are traveling so far to visit Walt Disney World!  I hope it's a wonderful trip for all of you!

I have several favorite times of year, and historically speaking, the crowds are a bit more manageable during most of them.  Late August is usually a good time, as many of the schools here are back in session.  It's hot and humid in Florida then, but I like the shorter lines.  September is very similar in crowd level.

There is about a week or so between Thanksgiving and Christmas that has always been a good time for my family.  You get to enjoy the holiday decorations and the special events, but the crowds have died down from the Thanksgiving rush and they have not yet arrived at the Christmas peak.

Another good time to consider is January.  Again, schools are just back in session after a long holiday break, so many parents hesitate to take their kids out for vacation.

Lastly, early May has been favorable for me in the past.  It's just before schools are finished for the summer, so another time when parents here don't usually take kids out for a vacation.

Happy planning, and thanks so much for your question!
