    Claire from North Island Asked

Hi There, we will be travelling to the US in December and are looking to be in Disneyland around the 20th to 23rd and again on the 31st December. Can you advise if we just purchase regular tickets especially for New Year's Eve. Thanks

Hi, Claire! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!

I am so glad that you are planning in advance for your trip this winter! A little bit of preparation certainly goes a long way in my opinion. Theme park tickets for this time of year will continue to be the general tickets sold online and at the parks. However, you should be aware that if you are buying one-day tickets, the price can fluctuate depending on whether the day is a value, regular, or peak day. Most of the dates around Christmas and New Year's Eve are considered peak days, so you should consider multi-day tickets as prices for these tickets remain constant regardless of the date. In fact, since both portions of your trip fall within a 13-day time frame, you could purchase a five-day ticket that would be valid for all of your park days. Multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first use, but you don't have to use all the days consecutively. So you can use the first four days from December 20-23, and your last day on New Year's Eve.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the parks can be rather busy on the travel dates you have listed. I suggest starting your days early and taking advantage of Disney FASTPASS Service or upgrading to Disney MaxPass. These tools will help you navigate the parks efficiently, which is key when there are heavy crowds.

I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
