Greetings Allison!
Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm really excited you will be experiencing the Happiest Place on Earth with your mother and daughters! The Disneyland Resort has something for everyone, and it's one of the few places where the young and young at heart can truly have fun together. Given everyone's ages and different interests, I think a good mix of attractions, delicious food, and entertainment will surely satisfy everyone in your family.
Make sure you check out the
Daily Events Schedule to plan around what parades, fireworks, or nighttime spectaculars you would like to see. Also plan on riding some classic
Disneyland Park attractions that appeal to children and adults equally such as "it's a small world," Jungle Cruise, Disneyland Railroad, and Peter Pan's Flight to name a few. Over at
Disney California Adventure Park, the thrill seekers in your family will definitely want to grab FASTPASSES early in the day for Radiator Springs Racers and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! Plus, everyone will enjoy the immersive environment in Cars Land with all the amazing details and mesmerizing neon when the sun goes down. Also don't forget to take plenty of PhotoPass pictures to remember this special trip!
I definitely advise heading to the parks as early as you can each morning. This will eliminate time standing in attraction lines, because it is the least crowded time of the day. Make sure to pick up FASTPASSES in the morning for World of Color or Fantasmic! so you can have a reserved viewing area later that night.
I hope this helps, and please feel free to return if you think of any other questions before your magical vacation!
