Hello, Viviane, Bienvenue a Disney Parks Moms Panel from a fellow Canadian and Disney enthusiast.
How excited you must be for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit celebrating your son's birthday!
May I direct you to
Disney Floral and Gifts where you can set the tone the moment you arrive at your Disney Resort Guest Room with their customized
In-Room Celebrations. As well, for your Disney Dining at Table-Service locations, upon your arrival you can speak to the Cast Member at the Podium when checking in to ask for a small cake (for a fee) that will be brought to your table. You can also order a custom cake through Disney Floral and Gifts to be brought to any Disney Resort restaurant or your Disney Resort Guest Room.
Viviane, I have stayed at both Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside and I recall that the doors are not metal. I took the liberty to call each resort and the Cast Members confirmed my observation. If you wish to adorn your Disney Resort Guest Room doors, you are welcome to use the suction type devices that will not damage the door. Please refrain from affixing any tape-like product to the doors.
Tips: Dining at
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort and at
The Crystal Palace in Disney's Magic Kingdom Park (Theme Park Ticket needed for The Crystal Palace) is a wonderful way to celebrate your son's birthday.
Merci, Viviane, we wish you magical celebrations at Walt Disney World Resort. Please feel free to stop by for any future assistance with your vacation plans.
