We are travelling with a senior with a heart condition who can not walk for long periods of times. Any suggestions of shows or activities he can still observe at the parks to keep him occupied throughout the days while the rest of the family are on rides?

    Hi Shana!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

Walt Disney World is huge.  I recommend getting a wheelchair or an electric convenience vehicle for him.  You can get more information on that here.

You should stop in Guest Services and pick up a Guest Assistance Card.  Just explain to the Disney Cast Member what he has trouble doing and the Disney Cast Member will know what to do.  The card will definitely help with regards to waiting in long lines, which will be next to impossible with a wheelchair or electric convenience vehicle.  You still might have to wait as long a time (or longer), but you will be more comfortable waiting in an alternate queue.

Most of the attractions and shows can be enjoyed by guests of all ages and most of them don't have any warnings about guests with a heart condition, though there are several attractions throughout Walt Disney World that do.  That's because most of the attractions at Walt Disney World were designed with the entire family in mind.  So with the exception of a few attractions, he should be able to enjoy the rest of the attractions with your entire party.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
