Travelling with 9 month old baby in September, can we still use transport from airport when we arrive? What are the rules re child seats? Thanks

    Hi Glenys!

All Disney resort guests are welcome to use the complimentary Magical Express service from the Orlando International Airport to the resorts at Walt Disney World. If you will be arriving on an international flight you will need to collect your luggage before going through the customs checkpoint. Once you have done that you can continue to take your luggage with you to the Magical Express location which is at Side B, Level 1. If you arrive between 5am and 10pm you can also return your bags to the designated carousel outside of customs where Disney baggage retrieval will get it and have it delivered to your resort.

The Disney Magical Express buses do not allow car seats. You would be expected to carry your infant with you on your lap. You can bring the car seat and they will store it underneath as well as strollers during your trip to the resort. Trips usually take around 45 minutes or shorter if traffic cooperates or you are the first resort drop off.

All of the Disney buses used to get guests from park to resorts will also not allow car seats or even open strollers. Be prepared to have your stroller folded up before boarding a bus. Monorails and some boats will allow strollers to remain open with the children in them.

If you need anything for your little one during your Disney trip remember that each park does have a Baby Care Center. They keep a good supply of baby items such as formula, foods, medicines, diapers, and simple clothing on hand for guests who might have forgotten something. You can also find certain supplies in all of the resort shops.

Traveling with an infant takes special planning but it can be a magical trip for everyone no matter what the age. Don't rush and don't stress and the magic will happen!
