Travelling with 3 kids, B5, B3, and G10mos. Want to stay at DAK, but concerned with taking the bus everyday to the parks being that we will be carrying a double stroller, a diaper bag, a back pack, and the 3 kids. Is it easy to get in and out of the bus?

    Hi Betty,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I sure sounds like you have your hands full - and having kids about the same ages apart I can tell you that you have a valid concern!  What I love about being on the Moms Panel is the opportunity to be honest - and I'll tell you this won't be easy.  It's certainly possible, and I've tackled the challenge - but from my experience I can tell you that it is much less stressful, and feels much safer to rent a car (or choose an alternate resort with more transportation options).

The stroller will need to be completely folded to board a bus, and because there can be a bit of a step you'll want to have a hand on the little ones as you enter and exit the bus.  Once you're seated you then have to juggle the propped up stroller, baby in arms, and keeping a hand on the other two so they don't slide off the seat during the journey.

So we always rented a car when the kids were that little.  It was so nice to be able to depart the park at our pace, rather than feeling rushed, hot, tired only to find we have to wait for a bus.  We actually enjoyed the wind-down walk to the car - and parking at the theme parks is free for WDW Resort guests.  Personally I have had fantastic experiences with National Car Rentals.  They are an on-airport company at Orlando International Airport, and no shuttle is required.  If you go to www.mousesavers.com you will find a link to sign up for their Emerald Club for free which will expedite your experience once you arrive.

Now I have to add that Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is by far my favorite swimming pool for toddlers.  They have an amazing splash-feature play area that kept all my kids entertained.  If you are looking to switch resorts so you can take advantage of the other transportation options, I would recommend the Boardwalk or the Polynesian resort.

    Hope this helps!
