We are travelling to Disneyworld and we're 7 adults (parents and adult children). I've gone on the Disney site and it appears that all onsite hotels can handle up to a maximum of 6. Am I missing anywhere on the Disney compound that would accommodate 7?

Yes and no, Carol.  Disney has several deluxe villa properties that can accommodate seven or more guests.  The caveat is that these accommodations come at a hefty premium and many guests find it more economical to reserve two standard rooms at a value, moderate or deluxe resort.  Depending upon your priorities, you might agree that reserving two rooms is the way to go.  You could always request rooms with an adjoining door, but those requests are not guaranteed.  Good luck!
