HI, We are travelling to Disney World in December from South Africa. My son turns 5 on December 15th. Please can i have advice on how to make this day special for him. it is our first trip.

Melanie, it warms my heart that you are writing from South Africa! What a magical vacation you are planning for your dear son's fifth birthday! Just the fact that he will be celebrating his special day at Disney World is so special! Be sure to advise absolutely everyone of his special day. When you are booking dining reservations, be sure to add your son's 5th birthday when asked what you're celebrating. I would also add it to your resort reservation. You can add a birthday cake for an additional cost to any dining reservation, either by phone or on-line. The Disney florist dream makers will also put together a magical gift for your son, whether he loves pirates or Mickey. Click here to contact them.

Be sure to let them know when you check in to your resort that your son is celebrating a special day and get a Happy Birthday! button for him to wear during his birthday holiday. You never know what surprises  he'll experience!

Write us back with any other questions! Wishing you a magical vacation!
