I am traveling w/ a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old. I prefer to keep my checked luggage to 1 suitcase for each person. How strict is Disney with weight limits on checked bags? Am I ok w/ one standard size suitcase weighing 60lbs instead of 2 lesser weight bags?

    Hello Joseph,

Thanks for sailing by!  Disney Cruise Line will not weigh your luggage.  I live in Florida, and when we sail from Port Canaveral, I do something similar, where I pack all of our things into one very large piece of luggage versus several smaller ones.  My bag is generally reasonably heavy!  Because I don't have to contend with airline weight restrictions, this a major perk of being able to drive to the terminal.  It looks like you are in Maryland, so, if you are flying to your point of embarkation, you will likely have to deal with airline weight restrictions.  However, once you head to the terminal and board the ship, this won't be a concern. I do recommend checking out Disney Cruise Line's List of Prohibited Items to ensure that everything you back is able to come on board with you.

    Have a magical sailing!
