I am traveling with a 9yr old. If I have to cancel either the Wanyami Safari (at Animal Kingdom Lodge) or Illuminations Sparkling dessert party which one should I cancel and why?

    Hi Julie!

Now that is a tough question! Both experiences are wonderful and it's extremely difficult to choose between them. The main question is what you want to get from the experience.

I also have a nine-year old daughter who wants to be a vet when she grows up and she loves animals, Therefore, the Wanayama Safari is a dream come true for her! If your daughter is like mine, I think she would LOVE this experience. You will get a special 90-minute tour with personalized, interactive guidance from an expert guide. You will also enjoy a pre-safari reception and a lovely dinner at Jiko - The Cooking Place after the dinner. You will see so many animals that you normally wouldn't get to see and it's an entire experience that you will never forget!

The Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party in Epcot is also an unforgettable experience. You will get to try desserts from around the world inside a private dining area prior to going outside in a roped off reserved area for viewing Illuminations. We experienced this last year and it was nice having a special spot to see the fireworks without worrying about lining up a while before. This is a great experience if you want to maximize your time in the parks, since this is in Epcot and not a resort, and if you and your daughter love fireworks.
No matter what you choose, you will have a magical time with your daughter at Walt Disney World!

    Magically,
    Stacy
