Kids on attraction

We will be traveling with our 3 & 9 yo’s to DW this summer. My husband can’t ride many of the rides for medical reasons. My children both like to ride but not alone. Can I use the rider swap to take each child separately for 2 seater rides?

Hi, Crystal!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Rider Switch Service is available for select attractions in all four Walt Disney World theme parks, and it sounds like it might be a service that would benefit your family.  You will want to approach a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction that you would like to ride.  The Cast Member can let you know about the seating configuration of that attraction if you are unsure.  There are many attractions where you will be able to ride with both of your children.  For those that are two-seaters, you can utilize Rider Switch if it is available for that attraction.

If you will be using the Rider Switch Service, the Cast Member at the attraction entrance will issue your party a Rider Switch entitlement.  You will be able to wait in the standby queue with one of your children while your husband waits in a designated area with your other child.  After you and your first child have experienced the attraction, you will be able to go through the FastPass+ queue with your second child.

Even though your husband is unable to experience many of the rides at Walt Disney World, there are so many entertainment offerings that your whole family will be able to experience together.   The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Happily Ever After Fireworks are two of my personal favorites; be sure to check those out during your visit!

    Have a magical day!
